London Baggage Company adopts environmentally friendly practice throughout the day-to-day operation of all activities in as much as:

- Packing materials will be sourced from suppliers offering goods from a sustainable origin; they will be re-used / re-cycled whenever possible.

- Free provision and transportation of Oxfam boxes for any unwanted toys or clothing, or other saleable goods - these collections are made on behalf of Oxfam to help the needy around the world.

- All waste materials are disposed of carefully and correctly and in such a way that they do not constitute a hazard to others in the workplace or the environment. In addition, no employee is permitted to use chemicals or hazardous goods without proper training and the knowledge required to handle such products correctly and safely.

- Continually develop processes and systems whereby working documents are computer generated; e-mail / intranet used for correspondence between employees, agents and (where possible) customers.

- Paper shredding machines are located throughout the offices for the shredding of waste paper. The resulting shredded paper is then used as packing material for fragile goods, and as dunnage in shipping containers.

- Cardboard is recycled by means of usage of a compactor situated in the yard outside the warehouse. The compacted cardboard is regularly collected for re-cycling

- Removals are co-loaded with other consignments whenever possible, thus reducing vehicle usage and pollution.
